In today's post i will show a trick with which you can multiply any 2 digit, 3 digit or any other digit number with 5 and get answer in just 2-3 seconds.
The trick to multiply any number with 5 is simple, the number which is to multiplied by 5 divide that number by 2 (take the half of it) and add 0 in the end and you will get your answer
-> any number * 5 = ?
-> any number * (10/2) = ?
-> divide the number by 2 (as from the above step) * 10 ,
First we will see with a 2 digit number, suppose 46 is the number to be multiplied with 5
-> 46 * 5 = ?
-> 46*10/2 = ?
->23*10 = 230,
lets try with 3 digit number
->432 * 10 = ?
->half of 432 (or 432 / 2) will be = 216
-> 216 * 10 =2160
lets try with 4 digit number
->1257 * 10 = ?
->half of 1257 = 628.5
->628.5 * 10 = 6285
The trick is simple you can do it in your head without pen and paper, when you know the basic division and multiplication rules like
1) multiplication of any number with 10 is just add 0 in the end to that number
2)multiplication of any fraction number with 10 is just move the fraction to next digit like example in 4 digit number
